...say WHAAAAAAAT WEDNESDAY?

happy happy happy wednesday one and all! i hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far...i am on spring break with my family and have been fortunate enough to be enjoying some sun and fun!!

lately i have been thinking a lot about community and how important is has become to me the older i get and

how much i realized that i need it in my life after meeting

the beautiful souls in the picture above... along with the

other amazing women i met at this retreat...

i didn't realize

how important it is to me and how much i long for it

until after i had a taste of it for 4 days and then

had to go back home and not have it be so

tangible... i literally wanted to put these women in my pocket

and take them home with me!!

i am also realizing how difficult it can be to find....so that is my question today....

how did you find your community or are you still in search of it???

today has been about this wonderful cause...

i believe so much in what this organization stands for

and was so happy to be able to contribute and

create some of my sweet little heartwingsisters cards

to hopefully brighten someone's day, bring a smile, lift a spirit...

i created over 30...the last photo is them all bundled up

ready to fly off to cancer centers throughout the united states...

this journal also flew out to my sweet niece Alexandra for her 11th birthday...i hope she fills the pages with all of her dreams, wishes, hopes, fears, etc... etc...

i simply want her to fill it with HER words.

she is one of the sweetest spirits i have ever met and i am so happy to be her aunt!!

and last but certainly not least...this is where i will be this week...my kiddlies are on spring break so we will be at the beach...resting, relaxing, sketching, reading, eating, drinking, laughing, taking lots of pictures, etc... etc... etc...

SAY WHAAAAAAAT WEDNESDAY?

first and foremost i HAVE to say THANK YOU for all the amazingly brilliant, wisdom filled answers i received from last weeks question....and quite honestly that will be a whole other post very soon.

i do however have to give Kelly a big, fat, special thank you for our continued conversation after her comment...she posted about it here.

(and if you haven't seen Kelly's artwork...well....you will have to see for yourself....in my opinion it's simply delicious!!!)

so here goes today's question...which may be a bit selfish...cuz i need some SERIOUS help!!!

HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU MANAGE TO STAY ORGANIZED WHEN EVERYDAY LIFE KEEPS FLYING AT YOU?? WHAT ARE YOUR SECRETS???

this is what i am up against today....and TRUST me...this is simply what was underneath my work table....coming inside my studio is MUCH worse!!! looks like a little cyclone decided to set up shop inside that one particular room!!! these boxes have no rhyme or reason....so i will be spending all day today sifting, sorting, blah, blah, blah!!!

...MONDAY MUSIC INSPIRATION & A NEW CREATION

(latest little creation....this sweet heartwingsister is our reminder to "trust our path"...listen to our intuition...to the whispers...)

i chose this today for a couple of reasons...

1) this soundtrack is one i can listen to over and over and over again....and quite honestly NEVER get sick of. it my opinion it is one of theeeee best soundtracks i have ever heard considering the music will take you right back to the movie every time you hear it...it is haunting in the way Eddie Vedder was able to capture the essence of this story.

2) on saturday evening, hanging out with some dear friends of ours, we started to discuss this movie and this book and what each of our takes were on it....needless to say it was an interesting and stimulating conversation. Which in my opinion is the best type of conversation to have.

i hope you all enjoy!!! and if you have not read the book or seen the movie...i recommend it!

...friday challenge

so...i posed this little tiny challenge to the ever so lovely vivienne yesterday and thought....hmmmmm....this may be fun to just put out there on my blog!

so here's the challenge my friends...are you up for it???

"what is up with people walking their dog and not cleaning up after it??"

i loved Elizabeth's "i glare loudly"....too funny!!! and Chrissy...you are all good since you picked it up with a stick and took care of it!!!

so today is a bit more serious....today i would love to know this....

"HOW DO YOU HANDLE THOSE LITTLE GREMLINS THAT CREEP INTO YOUR BRAIN AND SAY SOMETHING LIKE "WHO ARE YOU TO THINK YOU ARE AN ARTIST?? OR A WRITER?? ETC... ETC... HOW DO YOU NOT COMPARE YOUR WORK TO OTHERS??"

truthfully, i have been dealing with that a bit lately....i will go on other blogs and look at the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G artwork and think to myself "who am i kidding???" or "wow! their work is so detailed and gor-juss....mine is like a little kids." so i would love to know how others handle something similar...how do you handle those stinkin gremlins that creep about???

i am hopeful i am not alone in this!!!

(TAKEN A FEW WEEKS AGO ON VACA...DON'T MIND THE BRA IN THE BACKGROUND!! ; )

happy wednesday everyone...or as some call it "hump" day!! my question today came to me over the weekend while my hubby and i were out for a walk....so here goes

WHAT IS UP WITH PEOPLE WALKING THEIR DOG AND NOT CLEANING UP AFTER IT???!!!

i mean...really???

carry a bag with you...

be smart...

think of others who are strolling along, enjoying a romantic walk with their loved one...and then boom...step in a little something unexpected!!!

it's simply common sense to me and i don't understand how someone can let their dog go...and then just walk away.......??????

what about you guys...what do you think?? do you go up and say something to that person or do you just let it go???

first of all...i cannot begin to put into words how i feel about all of the love, prayers and encouragement that have rained down on me over the past few days. so... i will be simple and say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart...

with that being said and in light of my last few blog posts...i have decided today is the day to “Soar”...the day to let go...the day to fly

It is the day to let go of anything that may be holding you back.

So if you have fear to try something new, just do it...today!

If you are afraid of what others may think of you and that is holding you back...don’t let it!

Life is precious and short....so go out and live it!!!

i realize today is wednesday and i typically have my “say whaaaaaaaaaaaaat wednesday” question...however, not today.

normally i try not to get very opinionated or even too personal on my blog.

today is going to be different.

today i am sad.

today i am outraged with our judicial system.

today a monster will go in front of a judge for a horrifying crime, it seems he most likely committed.

today i don’t understand why such tragedies happen.

today i am hugging my children tighter and more than usual.

today i am grateful for all the moments i have with them.

today i won’t get annoyed with the messy bathroom sink full of toothpaste from my rushed teenager or the dirty clothes scattered about Soph and Syd's room or the fingerprints all over the fridg from Chandler.

today i will be thankful these messes...this proof they are around...are here.

today i am praying for Chelsea’s mom and dad, our family and friends.

today i am seeking out comfort.

thank you to each and every one of you for stopping by and visiting me and praying throughout the last several days. it is appreciated more than i can put into words. please continue to pray for comfort and ease for Chelsea’s parents and justice to be served.

i only hope this wakes people up and hopefully there will be change to how we handle sex offenders in this country. i hope this makes us all a bit more aware of our surroundings. i hope to someday find understanding in all of this...but know... that will not be today.

i am going back in the vault a bit for today's music inspiration.

They have taken a registered sex offender into custody that may be linked to her disappearance but still have not found her. All of your prayers and positive thoughts are desperately needed. thank you all so VERY much for the support and prayers that you have already shown in my previous post! she is our cousin's niece and just a bright, beautiful, precious soul.
